Position Measurement
Position sensors and transmitters are used in HVAC system controls
where the feedback of position is necessary for precise control of system
components, such as valves and dampers, or where monitoring of position is
necessary or desired. Position transmitters commonly operate using a slidewire
or rotary potentiometer to provide a variable resistance that changes with
linear or rotary position.
